OBSwap - Old Book Swap #Oldbookswap

OBswap is an attempt to provide a platform for people with similar interests in books to meet, exchange and share their books and opinions.

This app is also designed for the people who would want to exchange their book with another user’s book which he/she has listed in the app for exchange.

College junior year students can use this app for requesting some of the books that a senior year student has listed in our app.

How does it work?

Register on our app using either your existing Facebook or Google email id.

• As a new user, you can add all your books which you want to put it up for exchange with something interesting that some other user has in your location.
• Same way all the users will add their books which they have already finished reading and want to exchange with some other book which they havent read.
• The app is purely location based in this version.
• So all the users in your location (as per the radius set in your profile page) will be able to see the books that you would like to exchange.
• You can like the books which are put up by the other users in your location.
• Once you like a book from the list, the owner of that book will get notified about this and if he finds some book interesting in your book list, he would like it. Now, a match is made.
• Once there is a match, both the users can view each other’s contact details and meeting notes to meet and swap books.
• If the owner does not like any of the books that you have listed for exchange, then he can even choose to donate the book that you like. This is very useful for college students as they can request a senior to donate their books through this app.

Un-matching a user, editing the already added books and chat will be ready in the next version.

This app is conceptualized by a teacher with an initial idea of exchanging books between students in the same college. For any suggestions or feedbacks, you can contact us through our support page.
